Replacing a ceiling fan with light kit on 3-way circuit

How do I wire a replacement ceiling fan on a 3-way circuit? I have four supply wires; red, white, black and ground. Do I just hook it up the way the old fan was wired or is there any rewiring i need to do in the fan itself? The old fan was wired; ground to ground, black to black, white to white and red to blue. The wall switches are two 3-way switches with the fan in the middle. The switches supply power to the fan then you control the light and fan with the pull strings on the fan itself. Thanks for any help! #Ceiling-fan #Electrical #Lightinghttps://diy.stackexchange.com/questions/108375/replacing-a-ceiling-fan-with-light-kit-on-3-way-circuit

Bathroom light fixture above sink and ceiling fan/light combo wiring issue

Hey so I'm having an issue hooking up a bathroom light fixture above the sink with a bathroom ceiling fan/light combo. 1) for the light fixture above sink: coming out of the wall there appears to be what is a white black ground and another white black ground. I tried doing black to black white to white ground to ground on the fixture but that resulted in a loud pop noise. I then used a voltmeter and found that one of the white black ground combos appears to have current only when the switch is on and the other has current all the time. In what order do I hook these up to get the switch to work? If I...

Remove a 3 way switch to install fan remote

Newb so be gentle. I installed a fan that doesn't seem to be wired for a separate fan and light switch at the wall, so I capped off the red wire from the ceiling at the fan, and installed the fan black/white/ground as per the instructions. (it comes with a remote to turn on the fan) The light works at the wall on both switches, but as expected, the fan doesn't. I want to install a wall control that operates 3 fan speeds and the light dimmer at the wall, similar to the remote, but there are specific instructions with the wall control not to hook up the white/neutral wire to either black lead on the wall control. Wall control...

Installing Tankless Hot Water System - Amp Questions & Using AWG 6 Wire with Current Tank

I'm looking into researching about installing a Hot Water Tankless system. Specifically I want to install the following: Rheem Tankless Water Heater 2.14 GPM 13 kW Self-Modulating Electric Wall Mount It has the following power requirements: (RTE 13) I had a few questions: Lets start with the obvious, I'm not 100% my service is adequate. I have 100Amp service in a 1 Bedroom trailer that utilizes Electric Heat. I have 2 20Amp breakers dedicated to two different Electric Baseboards as well as the usual appliances. As it is a one bedroom it isn't often that many appliances are being used simulataniously, but I do want to be not tripping anything just by using hot water + heating the home. Can...

Trying to hook up dimmer/fan switch but have an extra wire?

I am trying to replace a switch that had a 4 position light knob and a 4 position fan knob. The old one had three wires coming out of it and the new one has 4. Below is a picture of my wall and the new switch: And here are the instructions: Is there a way that I can properly wire this switch or do I need to return it and buy a different type? If I need to get a different one, what should I look for? #Fans #Electrical #Switch #Light
