It will fit. I have two of these. I cannot close these doors though. These are thick hangers.

It's 8" from the top of the door to the base of the 3 high hooks and 11" to the lower hooks. I don't think this would work for you on 10' doors. My doors are 8' tall, I am 5'5" and I could manage it being about 3 inches higher, that's it.
