It did not fit on our office doors which are 1 1/2 " thick.

The Over the Door 12 hook rack might work for a home if it was completely protected from the elements and there was adequate clearance of at least 6 inches for the hooks and additional room for the items to be hung. The width of the door to accommodate the hooks should be just over 1 1/4 inches. I had to bend the hooks… see more

Yes the frame that goes over the door is thin, however if the coat hooks hold heavy things they will start to bend. Great for coats not diaper bags or heavy purses.

Any door as long as there is enough clearance between the lintel and the top of the door and the door is thin enough. Pretty sure as long as the door is standard it will fit well

Approx 1.5 inches. It will easily fit any standard door. It really works well and meets my intended need.
After working out, I febreze my clothes and allow them to hang dry, before sending them to the laundry.

It fit perfectly over a standard door. The hooks are somewhat flexible and can be "tweaked" if need be. I had to adjust slightly for it to lay flat on the door, which it does so now. Very pleased with the purchase.
