National Margarita Day is right around the corner on February 22, so plan accordingly by celebrating at one of these favorite South Florida outposts:

Bakan (2801 NW 2nd Ave Miami, FL)

Bakan has become one of Wynwoods trendiest spots, which also serves as the perfect location to celebrate National Margarita Day. We suggest the Bakan Classica Margarita, which is hand-shaken featuring triple sec, fresh-squeezed lime juice and home-made simple syrup. Wanting something frozen and maybe a bit fruity? No problem. Bakan offers La Mochoacana Margarita, which is the frozen version of their classic margarita with flavor options such as mango, guava, strawberry or passion fruit. Their street corn, queso fundido and ceviches are perfect for snacking, while we recommend the sopes, enchiladas and their vegetarian menu for mains.

Lona Cocina Tequileria (321 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304)

If you havent been to Lona Cocina Tequileria yet, it is definitely worth the drive to Fort Lauderdale Beach. This high-end restaurant is laid-back and fun with price points of a casual Mexican cantina so you wont break the bank. Try the Lona Margarita featuring Maestro Dobel, Lime, Agave or the La Catrina Margarita with vanilla infused Maestro Dobel, carrot, ginger and agave. For those who prefer something with a little heat, we recommend the St. Creyente Margarita with Creyente mezcal, St. Germain, yellow pepper and lime.

Did we mention Lona Cocina is a waterfront property with amazing views of the beach?! Their menu boasts ceviches, crab infused guacamole, tostadas, tacos, meats from the grill and classic and modern sides, which all pair well with margaritas. Pro-tip: order the lobster quesadilla. You will not be disappointed!

Pink Taco (1200 Ocean Dr. Miami Beach, FL)

We love the Something Pink Margarita with Codigo 1530 Blanco and fresh prickly pear pure at Pink Tacos South Beach location. The Cadillac and citrus Cadillac margaritas are also highly recommended with Signature Patrn Reposado Barrel Select, a mini bottle of Grand Marnier or Patrn Citrnge depending on which one you order. An order of the green Chile chicken enchiladas makes the perfect pair with any of their margaritas.

Taquiza (multiple locations)

From Margaritas on tap (by the glass or pitcher) made with Blanco Tequila, Simple syrup, Lime to margaritas named I Love You with Azafran 12 saffron-infused tequila, Mexican honey syrup, and lime or the Forbidden Fruit 12 with tequila, brown sugar cordial, grapefruit soda & juice with lime, Taquiza has something for everyone. Their margaritas also match perfectly with their Blue Masa and ANYTHING on their menu along with their totopos and guacamole.

Cafe La Trova (971 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL)

Michelle Bernsteins Cafe La Trova may be known for its amazing Cuban food and live music, but their bar program is one of South Floridas best, and they sure know how to make a mean margarita! Be sure to order an El Guayabero Margarita featuring Casa Noble Resposado tequila, guava marmalade, cayenne-agave syrup, and lime juice. If you prefer something with a kick, opt for the Margarita Picosa Mi Campo, which features tequila, cayenneagave syrup, and lime juice. While youre there, we recommend the Chefs Choice Menu for just $39 per person for a taste of all of their signature dishes.

This National Margarita Day, you dont have to go South of the Border to grab a great margarita and delicious meal. We just ask everyone to drink responsibly.
