Grammy award-winning American-born Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas is coming to Agua Caliente Casino Spa Rancho Mirage on Friday, Oct. 27.
Tickets for the event are $65-$200 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12 at aguacalientecasinos.com.
Venegas was born in Long Beach and grew up in Tijuana. Before launching her solo career, she was the accordion player for the Mexico City ska-punk band Tijuana No! As an artist with a mastery of several instruments and vocals to match, Venegas found success dabbling in alternative, folk and indie-pop in the late ’90s.She’s maintained a steady and consistent career and influenced other Mexican musicians, including Natalia Lafourcade and Ximena Sariñana.
Some of the singer’s most notable hits are “Me Voy,” “Eres para Mí” and “Limon Y Sal.” In 2021, Venegas collaborated with Latin trap star Bad Bunny and Tainey to produce “Lo Siento BB :/,” which won a Latin Grammy for best reggaeton performance. She’s won seven Latin Grammys and one Grammy award for best Latin pop album, “Limón y Sal,” released in 2007.
Venegas is currently out promoting her ninth studio album, “Tu Historia,” which was released on Nov. 11, 2022. So far, she’s added the fresh tracks “Dime la Verdad,” “Caminar Sola,” “La Nostalgia” and “Pura Fantasía” into the sets.
