This recipe was shared with me by my sister-in-law. I have hand kneaded it, but I prefer to use the bread maker to do the work.
Original Recipe

INGREDIENTS
- 1 3/4 to 21/4 cups of flour
- 1 package of Fleischmann’s pizza crust yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt
- 2/3 cup of very warm water
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- 1/2 to 1 cup of pizza sauce
- Other toppings as desired
How I deviated from the original recipe?
I usually use Splenda
I have left out the oil before (though not on purpose).
Directions:
- Mix the dry ingredients together. Just add the 1 3/4 cup of flour to start with.
- Mix in the warm water and oil.
- Knead with hands (or in the bread maker). Add flour until the dough isn’t sticky anymore.
- Grease a round cooking sheet. Spread dough onto the sheet.
- Add the pizza sauce and toppings.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
The End Result?
I like this pizza crust. I don’t make it often because I often don’t have the right toppings. Also, it takes longer to knead in my bread maker.
