Dine 909: Restaurant changes come to San Bernardino

The Pin Seafood House in San Bernardino has closed.

The restaurant opened in June 2021.

Last month, the owners posted on Instagram that Dec. 25 would be the restaurant’s last day of operation.

The post also indicates that the restaurant is likely to resurface elsewhere in the future.

Banners are up at the former restaurant, 145 E. Highland Ave., announcing that a new restaurant — Taqueria Los Agaves — is coming soon.

Prior to The Pin, the location was the longtime home of Long John Silver’s, which closed in late 2018.

New name

Mi Casita Taqueria, which had been in business in San Bernardino for about a decade, has closed.

In its place is another Mexican restaurant, Las Patronas Mexican Food.

Hours are 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Oldtimers may remember the location, 150 W. Highland Ave., as Foxy’s Restaurant.

Drink beer, adopt a cat

Cat rescue organization Cats of San Bernardino is hosting a cat adoption event Sunday, Jan. 29, at Escape Craft Brewery’s Downtown Oasis.

The event will take place from noon-4 p.m. at the brewery, 440 Oriental Ave., Redlands.
