4 live events coming to Southern California casinos Feb. 27-March 5


Southern California casinos will soon host a 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee, a pioneering funk artist, a comedian obsessed with food jokes and a norteño act with some of the biggest hits from the ’80s and ’90s.

Here are shows you catch in local casinos next week.

Bronco

Regional Mexican Banda Bronco has a modern take on norteño and other regional genres that helped elevate the group in the ’80s and ’90s. George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer inductee George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic are pioneers of the funk music genre and helped influence hip-hop with Clinton’s vision, which incorporated outlandish fashion, science fiction and psychedelia. The band is known for hits like “Atomic Dog,” “It’s All Love” and “One Nation Under A Groove.” 9 p.m. Friday, March 3 at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, 49500 Seminole Drive, Cabazon. Jim Gaffigan

Stand-up comic and actor Jim Gaffigan will bring his family-friendly brand of humor to the casino crowd. Sheryl Crow

Guitarist and singer-songwriter and current Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee Shery Crow will be playing her blend of pop, country and folk music. Recently, during the 65th Grammy Award ceremony in Los Angeles, Crow, Bonnie Raitt and Mick Fleetwood performed “Songbird” as a tribute to the late Christine McVie.
