This vintage retired James Avery cross is a Botonnee Cross, also known as a Budded or Trefoil Cross. The three buds on the end of each crosspiece represent the Holy Trinity of God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It sold on eBay for $2,500 on March 12, 2018. Some of the world’s greatest companies got their start in a humble garage: Amazon, Apple, Disney, Google, Hewlett Packard, Mattel, and Microsoft, among others. But none of them can hold a candelabrum to James Avery Craftsman. Working alone at a homemade workbench in his mother-in-law’s garage, fledgling jewelry artist James Avery singlehandedly transformed scraps of sterling silver and copper into exquisitely handcrafted designs such as this EARLY VINTAGE...
